Abstract

This edition is dedicated to analyzing the major economic dynamics of today. It aims to provide a comprehensive framework for reflection on the transformations affecting the global economy, whether they involve market shifts, recurring financial crises, growing socio-economic inequalities, or environmental and technological challenges.

In the face of globalization with its ambivalent effects, national economies must navigate multiple challenges: market instability, geopolitical tensions, energy transitions, and the impacts of monetary and fiscal policies. This edition prioritizes a rigorous and multidisciplinary approach, drawing on diverse methodologies—both quantitative and qualitative—to analyze economic dynamics at the microeconomic, macroeconomic, and mesoeconomic levels.

The analysis follows a logic of confronting empirical facts with modern theoretical frameworks. Thus, contributions are encouraged to question dominant economic strategies, particularly policies advocated by international institutions such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. Is the neoliberal model still relevant in addressing contemporary challenges? What alternatives exist to meet the specific needs of emerging and developing economies?

By shedding light on the underlying mechanisms of current crises and the policies being implemented, this edition aims to stimulate constructive debate and propose new avenues of reflection for a more inclusive and sustainable economic development.
