Transition énergétique, digitalisation et santé publique dans la région MENA :

Une analyse économétrique en données de panel

Résumé

Cette recherche examine dans quelle mesure les énergies renouvelables et les technologies digitales influencent l'espérance de vie dans 14 pays de la région MENA sur la période 2010-2023, à travers une analyse économétrique en données de panel. L'étude démontre que la transition énergétique et la diffusion des technologies de communication mobile constituent des déterminants significatifs de la santé des populations. Les résultats économétriques, issus d'un modèle à effets fixes doubles, indique qu'une augmentation de 1% de la consommation d'énergies renouvelables est associée à un accroissement de l'espérance de vie de 0,01% (p<0,05), tandis qu'une progression équivalente de la téléphonie mobile génère une amélioration de 0,016% (p<0,05). L'analyse révèle cependant une relation négative entre le développement d'Internet et l'espérance de vie (coefficient de -0,0027, p<0,01), suggérant des effets complexes nécessitant une investigation plus approfondie. La non-significativité du PIB par habitant dans le modèle final (p=0,156) souligne l'importance des politiques ciblées sur les déterminants concrets de la santé plutôt que sur la seule croissance économique. Ces résultats plaident en faveur d'une approche intégrée des politiques de développement combinant transition énergétique et déploiement stratégique des infrastructures numériques.
