Abstract

Faced with the proliferation of global crises and rising uncertainty, this study examines the conceptual shift in organizational resilience through a lexicometric analysis of a global corpus of 37,289 articles (1929-2025). The issue at stake is how the analysis of terminological usage reveals the shift from the paradigm of “rebound” to that of “transformation.” Three questions structure the research: the role of technology and sectors in the spread of this transition, the influence of linguistic specificities on conceptual paradigms, and the existence of emerging niches confirming the epistemological maturation of the field. The methodology is based on automated web scraping with Python, context extraction via the ISIDORE API, and a quantitative and qualitative analysis of terminological co-occurrences and sectoral definitions. The results show the dominance of the technology sector (48.2% of the contextualized corpus), the evolution of definitions of resilience according to three phases (territorial, systemic, transformative), and marked linguistic differences between the English-speaking and French-speaking corpora. The study highlights five priority niches for future research: predictive algorithmic resilience, accelerated regulatory adaptation, digital inter-organizational resilience, post-pandemic health governance, and resilience of climate meta-organizations. These results underscore the These results underscore the need for new theoretical frameworks to support the ongoing transformation of organizations in the face of contemporary challenges.
