Entrepreneuriat et transition écologique inclusive comme levier du développement local durable

Abstract

The ecological transition has become a major challenge for local development in a context marked by the scarcity of natural resources, climate change, and growing socio-economic inequalities. In this context, sustainable entrepreneurship appears as a strategic lever capable of combining economic growth, social inclusion, and environmental protection. This paper is based on a critical review of the academic literature related to sustainable entrepreneurship, environmental innovation, and territorial development. The objective is to understand how entrepreneurial initiatives can transform environmental constraints into economic opportunities while addressing local needs.

The findings highlight that sustainable entrepreneurship encourages the emergence of innovative business models based on the valorization of local resources, the creation of sustainable jobs, and the strengthening of territorial resilience. Small and medium-sized enterprises play a key role in spreading environmental innovations because of their flexibility and proximity to local realities. In developing territories, these initiatives also contribute to solving issues related to energy access, waste management, and sustainable agriculture. However, the effectiveness of this dynamic largely depends on the support of local public policies, particularly in terms of financing, training, and the structuring of entrepreneurial ecosystems.
