Governança Corporativa como Alavanca para o Acesso ao Financiamento Bancário
O Caso das PMEs Marroquinas

Esta pesquisa destaca a importância dos mecanismos de governança corporativa na melhoria do acesso das PMEs marroquinas ao financiamento bancário. O objetivo deste estudo é analisar o impacto dos mecanismos internos e externos da governança corporativa no acesso ao financiamento bancário para as PMEs marroquinas. Os resultados de um modelo econométrico baseado em regressão logística binária, obtidos a partir de dados coletados por meio de um questionário aplicado a 220 PMEs marroquinas (seis das quais estão listadas na Bolsa de Valores de Casablanca), revelam que a presença de um órgão de governança tem uma influência positiva no acesso ao financiamento bancário. No entanto, as crenças religiosas e a centralização do capital nas mãos de uma única pessoa (proprietário-gerente) parecem ter um impacto negativo no acesso a essa forma de financiamento. Este estudo destaca que a implementação de uma estrutura formal de governança e uma gestão transparente favorecem a confiança dos bancos, enquanto uma concentração excessiva de capital e restrições culturais dificultam o acesso ao crédito.
