Resumo

Cette étude contribue à la littérature existante sur la relation entre le changement climatique et la sécurité alimentaire. Elle examine l’impact du changement climatique sur la sécurité alimentaire dans cinq pays d’Afrique du Nord, à savoir le Maroc, l’Algérie, la Tunisie, la Libye et l’Égypte, en analysant des données de panel de 1971 à 2018. En utilisant la production céréalière comme mesure de la sécurité alimentaire, la recherche examine les effets des variables climatiques telles que les précipitations et la température, ainsi que des facteurs non climatiques tels que les terres consacrées à la production de céréales et la croissance démographique. L’étude montre que les précipitations et les températures ont un impact positif sur la sécurité alimentaire dans ces cinq pays. En outre, la recherche suggère que le fait de consacrer des terres à la production de céréales influence positivement la sécurité alimentaire, tandis que la croissance de la population l’influence négativement.
